Tight Point Battles Highlight Rotax Racing Club California’s First Championship Finale

SONOMA, Calif. — The inaugural Rotax Racing Club California Championship Series is headed for a pressure-packed finale on Saturday, Dec. 13, and all three divisions arrive at Sonoma Raceway Karting Center with titles still very much undecided. With international race seats and a fully backed trio of 2026 championship entries on the line, Round 4 is shaping up to deliver the most dramatic racing of the season.

The series—the first of its kind in the U.S. to run identically prepared Rotax-powered birelART karts—has produced competitive racing across every class. And now, after three rounds of wheel-to-wheel action, the margins are razor-thin heading into Championship Saturday.

JUNIORS: Dulauroy Leads, but Toves and Lozano Are Ready to Pounce

Ambroise Dulauroy enters the finale atop the Junior standings with 600 points, but his cushion is anything but safe. Tyler Toves is only 18 points behind, and Noah Lozano is in third place with 572 points, putting both within striking distance if Dulauroy stumbles.

Toves has momentum after a standout performance in the Round 3 Final, where he charged from the back to finish second—a drive that sent a clear message he’s not going down without a fight.

Behind the lead trio, Max Butler (556) and Everett Harvin (544) remain mathematically alive, though they’ll need a near-perfect weekend, and major misfortune for the frontrunners, to be part of the ultimate title equation.

SENIOR LIGHTWEIGHTS: A Three-Driver Logjam at the Top

The Senior Lightweight championship features the tightest leaderboard in the paddock. Giovanni Perez-D’Amico holds the top spot with 590 points, but just 10 points back sits both Kaden Greenlief and Shyam Rugoobur, tied at 580.

Perez-D’Amico has been steady all season, but the finale will test consistency more than ever. With qualifying and race execution both critical at Sonoma, even the smallest error could reshuffle the division completely.

Expect this one to go down to the final laps—and possibly the final corner.

SENIOR HEAVYWEIGHT: King in Control, but Don’t Crown Him Yet

In Senior Heavyweights, Jerott King leads at 595 points, but his margin over Fernando Rueda (578) and Denis Riabokonev (572) leaves little room for error. King has already taken his dropped round by virtue of not competing in Round 1. He has set the bar high since joining the Championship at Round 2, but Rueda and Riabokonev have both shown the pace to capitalize if the door cracks open. With the trio frequently trading fast laps throughout the season, this finale has all the ingredients for a three-way showdown.
