Legendary Karting Commentator Henry Beaudette to Join Formula KFX for Rotax Racing Club Round 4 in Santa Maria
SANTA MARIA, Calif. — One of the most recognizable voices in global karting will be on the microphone when the Rotax Racing Club Championship Series returns to California’s Central Coast this spring.
Internationally renowned commentator Henry Beaudette, widely regarded as “The Voice of Karting,” will join Formula KFX for Round 4 of the 2026 Rotax Racing Club Championships on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at the Santa Maria Kart Track, bringing decades of global motorsport experience to the broadcast booth.
Beaudette will travel from his home in Wales to serve as a featured commentator on the Formula KFX live stream, which fans can watch at formulakfx.com.
“This is a big moment for Formula KFX. Henry is not only a respected figure in the world of kart racing and junior formulae but is a first-class gentleman with a wealth of knowledge and experience and a wonderful human being,” said Philip Pegler, president and CEO of Formula KFX. “I am deeply humbled and immensely proud that Henry has taken a keen interest in Formula KFX, expressing a desire to support the series and its drivers. We look forward to welcoming Henry to championship round 4 in Santa Maria in May.”
Beaudette has spent more than 25 years immersed in motorsport as a racer, journalist, team owner and broadcaster. A graduate of Cardiff University, he began his career working at a local kart circuit in Wales before rising to become one of the most respected commentators in the sport.
Since 2005, Beaudette has called races across the globe, including the FIA Karting World Championship, Motorsport UK British Kart Championship, SKUSA SuperNationals, and the prestigious Rotax Grand Finals, where he has served as a lead commentator since 2014.
Along the way, he has witnessed the early careers of many of today’s top drivers — having commentated on 14 drivers currently competing in Formula 1 during their karting years.
“I’ve been working with Rotax since 2014, and I think Rotax Club is going to have a massive impact, particularly in the United States where Phil and the Formula KFX team have started out at such a high level in terms of professionalism,” Beaudette said. “I am genuinely excited to meet some of the newest members of the wider Rotax family and do whatever I can to make the weekend a really special one.”
Beyond the microphone, Beaudette is known throughout the paddock as a tireless supporter of emerging talent. Through his work in media, driver development and youth initiatives such as the FIA-certified Edukarting program, he has helped open doors for hundreds of young drivers pursuing careers in motorsport.
His presence at Round 4 marks a significant moment for the growing Rotax Racing Club Championship Series as Formula KFX continues to build a platform for accessible, high-level kart racing in the United States.
